Senior Customer Replenishment Analyst, Walmart (Bentonville, AR)

Reports to the Sr. Customer Replenishment Manager supporting Post Consumer Brands largest U.S. customer, Walmart. The Senior Analyst is the first point of contact for Walmart’s Replenishment team and performs as the replenishment expert for both Walmart and Post Consumer Brands. In addition, the Senior Analyst will act as mentor to others responsible for replenishment activities and serves as backup when the Customer Replenishment Manager is not available. The Sr. Analyst gives recommendations on internal Post Consumer Brands forecasts and works with Demand Planning to assure the best possible forecast and inventory plan. Responsible for Instock, forecast accuracy, OTIF and optimized replenishment settings in Walmart’s system.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  1. Customer Focus

A. Serves as a customer expert in Walmart’s systems including Retail Link, GRS, HOST and OMS

a. Influences and recommends Post Consumer Brands system settings utilizing replenishment data

b. Ensures Post Consumer Brands constraints, service settings, lead time, forecast, and all components of the replenishment cycle are accurate and optimal within Walmart’s replenishment system

B. Maintains Walmart’s replenishment system for Post Consumer Brands items

a. Implements system suggestions in a timely manner

b. Follows through on ensuring accuracy and results of setting

c. Maintains alignment and support from Walmart in utilization of their replenishment strategies by maintaining Post Consumer Brands superior reputation and doing it the right way

C. Develops and maintains best in class customer relationship between Post Consumer Brands and Walmart Replenishment Team

a. Conducts face to face quarterly planning sessions with Walmart Replenishment Manager regarding Post Consumer Brands goals and ensures alignment

b. Protects and further exemplifies Post Consumer Brands superior reputation as primary contact to Walmart’s Replenishment Manager

  1. Technical/Functional Expertise

A. Manages Walmart item forecasts at the retail and DC levels

a. Analyzes and recommends Walmart forecast adjustments; filters promotional volume from history to obtain baseline forecast; also includes screening for other causal events that are not likely to repeat

b. Manages new/discontinued item and new/discontinued Walmart DC inventory; works with Sales, Walmart and Demand Planning to communicate the forecast and establish introduction/discontinuation strategies

c. Plans inventory replenishment by SKU at Walmart in support of Walmart’s objectives by tracking and minimizing out of stocks at retail and DC levels

d. Executes and communicates all data and analysis needs during twice a year mod resets

B. Performance Reporting – monitors and reports on key performance metrics, assigns causes for out of tolerance performance; initiates actions to improve OTIF, forecast accuracy, replenishment, inventory and service as indicated by Walmart

a. Investigates stocking, delivery and product activity problems, finds root causes and develops and implements solutions

b. Develops and distributes weekly inventory and service performance reports as required

C. Aligns Walmart and Post Consumer Brands inventory planning

A. Creates and communicates Walmart transition and replenishment plans to ensure Post Consumer Brands alignment to customer needs

B. Identifies/implements replenishment best practices

C. Proactively establishes and implements countermeasures to negative trends

D. Identifies opportunities to improve process flow and/or reduce variation and reduce supply chain costs

A. Develops against PCB’s Leadership Expectations – Leading Self

a. Serves as the subject matter expert on replenishment processes.

b. Documents, trains and educates other users on process capabilities and provides technical leadership

c. Coaches - brings new teammates along through mentoring

d. Leads collaboration and coordination with all cross functional areas for replenishment related improvements and cost reduction initiatives

e. Develops strong, smooth-running relationships and processes with all interfacing cross functional departments

f. Serves as primary back-up and secondary contact to Customer Replenishment Manager

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: Four-year degree required

Experience:

Minimum 5 years experience in replenishment, supply chain, sales forecasting and inventory management.

Minimum 5 years experience in Retail Link is mandatory, Co-Managed experience preferred.

Skills: Strong customer service orientation. Must be self-motivated and able to structure and prioritize work for maximum productivity. Good familiarity with logistics planning and material management/logistics concepts. Strong ability in qualitative and quantitative analysis, competency in a broad range of computer skills – Word, Excel and presentation software; excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to manage many details and tasks with a high level of accuracy. Skill in prioritizing workload and organizing information. Ability to establish timelines and meet deadlines. Ability to initiate, coordinate and move forward on planned activities in a team environment
