JOB SUMMARY :
This position is responsible for safe operation of the plant shuttle truck and movement of trailers in the raw receiving and outside grounds areas. General cleaning activities in the raw receiving and outside grounds areas.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Movement of potato trailers around facility as needed.
Movement of waste trailers around facility as needed.
Assist with general potato unloading activities, to include pre-dump sampling.
Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Communicating inefficiencies and equipment malfunctions to Peel/Raw Receiving Supervisor.
Cleaning and general housekeeping of the truck lift area .
Cleaning and general housekeeping of the outside grounds.
Cleaning and general housekeeping of assigned area in Raw Receiving
Safe operation of Case skid steer for removal of potato waste or snow from outside grounds
Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
Tractor trailer experience
Skid steer experience (Pay loader preferred)
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
