POSITION SUMMARY:

Assisting in general production of the pasteurized shell egg facility. Responsible for overall equipment cleanliness and sanitation of department area. Accountable for performing every other day sanitation for department area. Also responsible for working with or around chemicals. Must be able to work overnight from 11:00pm to 7:30am or as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Check egg quality (dirt, checks, etc.)

  • Keep machines running efficiently

  • Make sure material is kept separated, neat and stored properly and labeled.

  • To follow all HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) guidelines

  • Perform checks for egg coating and monitor quality

  • Perform Proper Sanitation duties.

  • Perform repetitive motion with hands while loading the line.

  • Watch, correct and report safety issues.

  • Communicate issues to production management and maintenance.

  • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.

  • Adhere to all safety polices and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

No prior experience or training.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Able to follow oral instructions, quality rules, and procedures.

  • Able to read and understand operating procedures.

  • Capable of repeatedly lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.

  • Able to work in noisy, dusty, and warm environments.

  • Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with others to complete work assignments.

  • Open to change.

  • Positive interpersonal relationships.

  • Able to work independently and with others in a team environment.

  • Self-motivated while also willing to ask questions and seek direction.

  • Displays responsible behavior at work.
