POSITION SUMMARY :

The Key Account Manager will primarily be responsible for driving profitable sales of pre-cooked egg (PCE) products into Consumer Packaged Good (CPG) companies and sandwich assemblers who’s products are in this category and hard cooked (HC) egg products into key salad manufacturers and retail commissaries.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct key account contact; specializing in supporting industrial-conceptual selling.

  • Responsible for the strategies to grow sales within the product category, sales channels and with the key accounts.

  • Implement and manage productivity initiatives with key accounts.

  • Provide egg & culinary and consumer market insights and recommendations to accounts.

  • Develops and executes strategic key account plans which include portfolio strategies to maximize our business growth.

  • The job will require expertise in selling into the CPG segment and Retail segments on a national basis.

  • Pro-actively drive as well as respond to customer requests to promote the sale of new value-added products.

  • Leads joint business planning that will set strategy for the account.

  • Leads and directs cross-functional team in support of the joint business plan.

  • Accountable for current volume, planned growth and profitability goals in assigned accounts.

  • Deliver general reporting to highlight key account performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

  • Assist in the launch of new products.

  • Forecast monthly results by customer and product.

  • Up to 60% overnight travel required. Must manage personal travel budget.

EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of sales management experience in food sales.

  • Possess commodity and value-added product selling experience.

  • Possess supply chain and project management experience.

  • Excellent oral and written communication, problem solving/decision making skills, and analytical skills.

  • Highly motivated individual able to work in fast-paced environment.

  • Computer skills required: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Food science background and/or product development experience is preferred.

  • Experience in the breakfast category as well as an understanding of custom formulation and product applications.

  • Supply chain project management is a plus.
