Position Summary:

Our Inventory & Receiving Specialist plays a critical role within the purchasing department by ensuring that the correct material and equipment is ordered and received for effective plant operations. They assist the purchasing team by receiving all orders that come to the facility and maintain the inventory of the maintenance parts and equipment to optimize the efficiency of retrieving material needed for different departments in the facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs the receiving functions for all incoming material and equipment and interact with facility personnel to accomplish purchasing service tasks and assists the MRO Buyers with the active and closed purchase order filing system through the QAD application

  • Maintain the spare parts inventory, record all necessary information and develop comprehensive equipment list to ensure on-hand inventory accuracy

  • Process requisitions and purchase orders as received and checks the materials against the receivers for correctness and forwards packing lists to purchasing department

  • Distributes incoming materials to inventory, the ordering department, or MRO cage and maintain electronic file of packing lists and invoices

  • Prepares and processes return goods authorizations

  • Assist MRO Buyer with purchasing of goods and services, and pickup and deliver parts as needed

  • Manages to maintain organization and cleanliness of all inventory parts areas, including garage and trailers

  • Other duties, as assigned

Education and Experience Required:

  • HS Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institution

  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime, as needed

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • 2+ years manufacturing and/or purchasing experience

  • Works well with a team and independently

  • Manages time efficiently

  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills and pays close attention to detail

  • Can employ basic math skills

  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrates professional and polite demeanor with customers

Physical Requirements: Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:
