Post Holdings Plant Production Support - St. Ansgar, IA in St Ansgar, Iowa


Responsible for Master Cleaning Schedule (MCS) and ensuring all assigned cleaning is completed and documented for the St. Ansgar Iowa facility.

Responsible to support and maintain food safety practices as required by SQF.

Responsible to assist with production support activities as requested and defined by manager.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities :

The Production Support team member will be responsible to adhere to all GMPs and maintain food safety practices as required by SQF.

Sanitation Responsibilities:

As cleaning is completed, the production support team member is required to initial and date the MCS forms. The MCS has items listed at various frequencies including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, biannually or annually. Record keeping must be kept up to date as cleaning is completed. Good documentation practices are essential.

  • Cleaning of break rooms, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, grounds and other production support areas

  • Maintain clean work areas, perform sanitation audits, and develop corrective actions to address problem areas

  • Review and implementation of sanitation procedures based on program requirements

  • Assist with inventory control

  • Perform cleaning activities of grounds to ensure safe entrance to building including sweeping and snow/ice removal.

  • Participate in all training activities as required.

  • Participate in special projects/assignments.

  • Other job duties as requested.

Operator Support Responsibilities:

This position will be required to back-fill and assist with production activities as requested and defined by Manager. This may include performing the duties and responsibilities of an operator.

  • Equipment replenishment of packaging supplies

  • General cleaning and sanitation of production areas including master cleaning activities, cardboard recycling, and trash removal.

  • Hand packaging and processing of finished products into cases.

  • Stacking and processing finished product pallets.

  • Participate in all training activities as required.

  • Participate in special projects/assignments.

  • Other job duties as requested

The production employees will serve as back up to this position. This is a general job description that is not all-inclusive. Working conditions, duties and responsibilities are subject to change at any time. Management reserves the right to alter this position when conditions merit.

Physical Demands: Activities include walking, kneeling, lifting, climbing ladders and stairs, bending, stacking, twisting, pulling, pushing, inserting, sitting, squatting, standing, accumulating and collating motions. Have to be able to dump up to 100# of material with assistance.



High School Diploma or GED is required


Previous sanitation experience preferred.


Teamwork and good communication skills are required. Must be self-motivated.

Basic math skills are required.

Functional computer skills to include the ability to use QSI to view and print documents as well as entering data.

Must be able to read, write and communicate in the English language.
